Dr. Iakovos Vittorias has a 15-year experience in the polymer industry. He worked in various R&D roles in the polyolefin industry before joining Omya in 2024, as a technical director for technical polymer applications and polymer packaging. His focus is, together with the global technical service group, in connecting structure and technology to final product properties and providing technical solutions to compounders and plastic producers. He has a diploma in chemical engineering, a Ph.D. in polymer physics and an Engineering MBA.

Marco holds a degree in economics and after working at Air Products from 1996 until 2007 where he held different positions in the commercial and supply chain positions he joined Arkema  where he was responsible for the sales of organic peroxides as well as marketing of the fine chemicals division. In 2010 Marco joined Braskem in Rotterdam initially responsible for marketing the polyethylene and polypropylene resins imported from Brazil. In 2012 he became the Commercial Manager for the renewable chemicals division in Europe and since 2013 Marco was heading the renewable chemicals division in Europe and North America, driving the growth of the biobased polyethylene business. Marco is also one of the founding board members of Holland Bioplastics and was in the board until December 2018. In April 2024 Marco assumed the position of Business Director Circular Economy Europe and since October Marco expanded his responsibilities and is now the Director of Circular Economy & Sustainability in Europe and Asia and Global Director of Biopolymers at Braskem.

Dr Karlheinz Hausmann, TS&D Fellow with Dow Chemicals Europe GmbH in Horgen, Switzerland is holding a doctoral degree in Material Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in
Lausanne, Switzerland and has more than 28 years of experience in ethylene copolymers. He joined DuPont in 1987 in the W&C group in Geneva, Switzerland. From 1989-1991 he held a position as R&D
Engineer in DuPonts ethylene copolymer business at EI DuPont de Nemours Inc in Wilmington , DE, USA. In 1991 he moved back to DuPont in Geneva to work Packaging and Industrial Business Unit.
Here he had a number of R&D and Technical and Market Development assignments including packaging, polymer modification, cosmetic packaging and automotive As global sustainability leader he has been contributing to the development of the sustainability strategy of DuPonts Packaging and Industrial Polymers business unit. After the merger between DuPont and Dow in 2017 he is heavily
involved in Sustainability aspects associated with recycling and lightweighting of packaging structures.
In this function he is also representing Dow in various industry organisations and working groups on circular economy aspects.

Andreas Jenne studied Civil Engineering at the Universities of Coburg and Hertfordshire. His career at REHAU included various positions in Innovation, Key Account and Business Development Management. At present Andreas is Head of Sustainability in the REHAU Group. Since 2024 he is Lecturer and auditor of the IHK Mittelfranken, Education and training of CSR Manager and Member of the Agenda 21 Advisory Board of the City of Erlangen.

AFRY is working on an affordable, economically sustainable PlasticsToBio initiative to decouple plastics production from fossil origin feedstock. This concept and initiative combines circular and bioeconomy in extraordinary scale.

Tomi Nyman is Principal at AFRY and has 20 years of experience in business development, strategy and business head functions in the chemicals and bioplastics business. He has set himself a career target of cutting global emissions by 1 Gt and aims at turning the global plastics production bio-based.

He has expertise in bio and circular economy, value chain creation, disruption, materials technology, synthesis, polymerization, sustainability and responsibility, IPR, sales, marketing and strategy especially in the bioplastics, biochemicals and biofuels area. He holds an MSc (Tech) in chemistry and polymer technology from Helsinki University of Technology (Aalto University).
